Let me introduce myself. My name is Krystal, and I do 90% of the work you see on this site. The other 10% is divvied out amongst many pirates and ninjas working in harmony. Yes, I made it happen because I'm just that good. (Or that full of it, however you look at it...)
I came up with the idea for MML while sifting through site after site of the same basic layouts, same basic codes, and same obnoxious pop-ups and flash banner ads. After a few hours of looking through the pleothra of layout sites available on the wonderful world wide web, I realized I still had yet to find one that struck my fancy; one that stuck out to me. And that's when I decided to take the reigns myself, and create a completely original layout. Okay, so it wasn't completely original considering I took the bare bones of a template and simply changed the code to make it fit my personal style, but if I could take credit for creating HTML and CSS, I'd be either a bagillionaire or Al Gore...
So, I brainstormed with the true other 10% of this site, and we hatched the idea for our very own layout site. Off to work I go, creating layout after layout after layout for days on end. I guess it helped that I was currently unemployed, so devoting 16+ hours a day to this site wasn't too much to ask.
After about a month of making this site full of layouts, I thought to myself, "why stop there?" And began the journey I have come so close to finishing; the newly added sections to the site, including the ingenious "Featured Artist" page, which not only brings us visitors (score!) but also will bring many more fans to little-known kickass MySpace-made-'famous' bands. To me, the web is not only a great place to learn new and interesting things and network with amazing people all over the world, but also a staple to the music world. If it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't have heard half the bands I have had the pleasure of hearing. Thus, I am doing my very small part in trying to introduce other people like myself to those amazing artists.
Over the next few months, I see this site going through a lot of changes before I'm completely satisfied with it. But overall, I must say, that an idea that went from simply a theoretical to full execution in a matter of weeks is definitely something to smile about. But it would be nothing without the visitors. So to each and every person who is reading this right now, I thank you.
